Nicaragua's renowned designer and former Project Runway Latin America participant, Shantall Lacayo, has a special mission in Miami. She is looking forward to a busy and rewarding week during her participation at various fashion events at the sunshine state.

The designer who recently designed and styled Billboard Latin Music Content and Program Executive Director Leila Cobo's wardrobe for Billboard Latin Music week is Miami Fashion Week's special guest. Lacayo will collaborate during the red carpet and serve as a fashion expert analyzing the different Miami Fashion Week runways. In addition, she'll participate in Miami Food and Fashion 2016, an Aromas Foundation of Peru event, where she'll present a preview of her recent collection this Friday, June 3 at Wynwood. Lead by renowned Peruvian Chef Javier Florez, the Fundación Aromas del Perú, with the support of the culinary and fashion industry, hopes to help abandoned and at risk adolescents and children.

country, is leaving her footprints and is here to stay. She has represented Nicaragua successfully on fashion runways in Paris, Madrid and New York in addition to other fashion capitals and has styled female leaders outside and in her country. Among her designer responsibilities, Lacayo is currently director of the Nicaragua Design program.

Furthermore, she has been recognized in numerous publications - HOLA, Caras, Vanidades, Siempre Mujer, Telemundo, Univision, CALA, CNN en Español, among others - and has created her own name with her prêt-à-porter style, cocktail and ready-to-wear. She describes her collection as avant-garde, sensually daring and attractive for the modern and sophisticated woman that isn't afraid of 'provocative art' style.

The particular cuts of my collection present a sensation of visual art and feroz touch constantly inspired by historical, modern and fine art fusion, explained Shantall.

Don't miss Lacayo's and other famous Latin designers - Colombian Carlos Arturo Zapata and Peruvian Jose Zafra -  show off all their talent at Miami Food and Fashion 2016.
